New pool, Manor, Texas

Nice Janny!! I've looked at those and wondered how they are. They are so nice looking! The fact that it is portable makes it even better. You just use wood chips? Then you have none of the problems I was trying to work through with storing wood year round and trying to keep the critter, bees and wasps out of it. Thanks for sharing! I look forward to having the g'kids over here to enjoy our yard.

We decided to have one built. We plan to get a cover for it and use it as a table when not turned on. This will be especially helpful since we will be dirt poor by the time this is all done :)

I think the gas pits are beautiful. You will enjoy yours. And yes, building a pool will make you poor for a while![emoji3]But it's definitely worth it! [emoji3][emoji3]

What a great and practical setup! Good job!

Yes, it is practical, for sure. But those gas flames over those pretty rocks are very tempting! I would love to have a fire bowl. Someone on TFP from Florida had one made out of the top of a birdbath in one of these posts. Does anyone remember seeing that? I wasn't completely certain about how she did it?I would love to make one. [emoji3]

I was just reading my build again. I was so clueless. [emoji3]
I'm so happy to have this documentation of the build. I can't believe it's been a year since we started planning. Does anyone know how we can save this in case we ever lose access to this site?

Just a little update: I had surgery in early July. My doctor still hasn't released me to swim! I have missed the entire season. Don't schedule your surgery in June or July![emoji13]

Aww! So sorry to hear that Janny!! Have you at least been able to put your feet in and watch the grand babies? I hope you feel better soon!

Yes, I'm feeling pretty good just waiting for clearance to jump in. Ha. Hoping for next week. And yes, my grandkids have enjoyed the heck out of the pool-- and their parents also! I've been able to enjoy the outdoor space. [emoji3]
