Hi All - noticed my pentair 400k BTU leaking from the bottom today. Also pool temp on the heater doesn’t match pool temp on the intellicenter - off by 2 degrees. Is this all pretty normal?

That's very suspicious.

They torque the bolts at the factory to an exact specification.

So, it seems unlikely that it would have come from the factory brand new with a leaking manifold.
Maybe I misunderstood? Wouldn't be the first time something was remediated the wrong way :) Anything I should look out for? Pool heater and everything else seems to be working fine. It raised the pool temp Sunday from 80 to 90 in about 10 hours.

It just seems unlikely that the manifold bolts would come from the factory not fully tightened to the correct torque specifications.

The explanation that the manifold bolts were loose seems suspicious to me.

Got it. Maybe I misunderstood then or he used the wrong term. Or maybe he just didn't want to explain what really happened? From what I could tell the only thing the guys should have touched during the install is the PVC connections, but those aren't leaking.

If it leaks again I'll have to take the cover off and look myself. Since it's only a month old ... I didn't want to touch it, especially since I'm not too handy.
