Brand new Pentair 3 way valve leaking

Hi,

I'm redoing my pool plumbing and installed a new Pentair 3 way valve, and its leaking.

There's no pressure behind it, just a pipe full of water.

Is this normal?

Did you try wiggling the handle to get the diverter set?

Remove the diverter and examine the diverter face and the port. Check that the seal and opening is smooth and no glue dripped on it.

I would also re-lubricate the gate and 0-rings with silicone lubricant like magic lube II. Don't use Teflon/PTFE lubricant (like magic lube). Use a screw driver, not a drill driver to remove and replace screws.

Check that the seal and opening is smooth and no glue dripped on it.

Most likely the problem.

When installing the valve like this it is difficult to avoid glue dripping down unless you glue it with the pipe down.

Also, the grey valves (PVC) are not as good as the Black valves (CPVC).

All good, turns out there was some debrie sticking to the greese.
