New pool fountain/cooler

Knocked this together with about $12 worth of parts from menards. Giving it a test today to see how much it cools my pool!



It has 18" of 1" pipe per side with 72 holes total. Hole size is 1/16"

Looks good! Best time to run it for cooling is overnight. Did you try Skippy's trick of taping graph paper to the PVC for the holes?

Haha no I saw that but didn't have any graph paper. I took a marker and eyeballed my dots, then drilled right on (most of) them.

I will say I started this AM at 85 degrees and it's holding steady at that temp even though it's Blazing hot! I run my pump during the day so it skims Crud while we would be swimming.

ha! ha! Skippy just printed a sheet of blank graph paper from online. Who knew?! He's also printed music paper in the past too. Beats buying more than you need just to get one or two sheets.

I plan on overriding my timer tonight and letting the fountain run and see what drop I get. Right now it's still 85 but I rotated it underwater for now.

That's the best part of this thing, I can spin it 180 degrees and it blows towards the deep end. And my corner returns blow harder now so win win!

Temp this morning was down 2 degrees. Doesn't seem like a big drop.
