New Pool Construction Project in Houston: 2nd Time is a Charm

It happened.

Before 7am today (on a weekend, no less!) the plaster crew showed up and commenced with the acid rinse, after which they power washed the pool--inside and out. When we came home from the kids' Christmas party, this is what we saw.

The water looks pretty clear to start
Sometimes our water is crystal clear, sometimes it is brown and cloudy. I'm glad today was like the former.

should #4 be crossed off or do #4 and #5 get crossed off together?
Didn't have a chance to update my signature earlier today. Now it's reflecting current status

And, of course you're an engineer - now it all makes sense :)
What's that supposed to mean? I sense some vitriol in that statement!

Hi, Your pool looks awesome, now I think you will be thinking of changing the fence to fit your pool theme. It looks so good I guess you need to change everything else to match its class. You have a great artistic sense. By the way did you buy or built your house? All the very best excellent work.

Thanks, Punniya.

We built the house. It's generally a single-story home, with only game room, wet bar, media room, and a full bath upstairs. You'll have to blame my wife for the artistic sense. Left to me, I would have built (yet another!) red brick & Texas limestone house.

As for the fence....we're kind of stuck. Both the brick fence in rear and cedar fence on front & sides is the community standard, so there is no possibility to change. When we finally complete our landscaping work (who knows what year that will be???), you won't be able to see any fence anyway.

Oh yeah....back to the pool.

Pool....almost....filled.....to.....the.....skimmers.....and Lucia the Labrador is checking things out. I wonder what's going through her mind. What's going through my mind is easy: "Dang, that's some clear water. Good thing I know all about TFP so I can keep it looking that way!"

I love the view of the Texas flag off to the right (left if facing) of the house pic. It is a very nice house and your wife has very good taste....Although there is nothing wrong with brick and limestone either :). Your entire home (house and yard) is coming together so nicely and the pool is an awesome accent to it all - even if Lucia isn't sure yet how she is going to enjoy the water.
