New Pool Build - TX

Workers showed up today and from what my wife tells me, they are applying the mastic joint, cleaning up and grading, and cleaning out the pool.

Then the PB called and said we are on the schedule for plaster on Monday, weather dependent (which right now it looks fine, we have storms coming this weekend but Sunday and Monday have 0% chance).:whoot:

YEAH!!!!!!!!!! That is awesome! I bet he got his jobs mixed up when he called about the Dec.1 date.

Kim

Kim I think that was Zethacat that still doesn't have his mastic joint done. I definitely would've flipped if he said Dec 1!

In the air - still over the Mainland with an internet connection - but yippee!!!!! -Karen

Awesome! Have some drinks with umbrellas down there in PR for us back here in COLD Texas!

Wow! That is alot of light. You need a DJ to run those things. Will they change colors and sync to music? That would be sweet.

Did your decking ever even out all the blotchyness? Mine was poured yesterday, very blotchy in some sections. I almost went out and continued to wash after the PB left, but chose not too. I don't see any blotchyness in the sidewalks and driveways done in my neighborhood, so I assume it evens out over time.

I don't think they will sync up with music, but they are very flexible as far as customization (the decking lights can be a different color than the waterfall, grotto, etc.), and its supposed to have pre-programmed light shows that we can get going. From what Ryno tells me, it certainly can look like a "bumpin' night club" if we want it to. And they aren't quite so overpowering in reality. The cell phone camera tries to adjust for the dark picture by over exposing and blowing out the lights. Once we get everything hooked up and running, I'll get my good camera out and take some properly exposed shots.

The decking looks better after they acid washed it, and they are supposed to be sealing it today and I think that will make the biggest difference. The deck looks perfect when wet, its only when it dries out does it start to look splotchy. So I think sealing it will help accomplish that.

There you go, create some pool lights that sync with music, we can all retire.

I have no idea if my PB will acid wash/seal my decking. If you can, try to notice what they use to seal your decking in case I have to do my own.
