New Pool Build - Conroe, TX - LOTS of pics! Come say hi Y'all.

I like the colored lights but if I had to cut costs, it would be on the list. I don't think it's as amazing as the price tag.

Yeah! I ordered too much, still trying to find ways to use it all!

Build threads are the most fun!! I hope you have one and I hope you post a million pictures, not only is it fun, it is SO helpful to others working through the process! I'm hoping to jump on here and spend a few hours checking the new builds out later. I'll be looking for yours - I see you just started the dig! Omgosh! The most exciting part!

Oh Kim, how I miss you guys! Hubs is doing pretty well!

Ok you'll have to forgive me while I remember how to post! I was trying to respond to the individual posts but obviously that didn't happen!

Aww! Poor Bella! So glad that intuition kicked in. We had an episode like that with my son when he was 3. All the cousins playing inside my SIL's house and something told me, Go outside and check the pool. Thank God I did as he'd just fallen in as I got outside. We're trying to plan what gate system we're going to use. I have a 10 year old chihuahua and I don't think I'll be able to teach her to get out. She has no desire to be in a pool it I worry about the bigger dog knocking her in.

Mommy intuition is a beautiful thing! Happy Bella is safe!

I am about to post some pics of the area I want to do some landscaping (I know I want a couple dwarf palms - and someone mentioned Hondo grass - I wanted to show you guys the distance from the ground to the rock and see what you thought - we could build the area up, we could place things in planters, or just plant as is now. We are NOT going to be paying someone - the hubs has said NO WAY to my recent request! So I am planning on just taking it a few plants at a time and building.

I also wanted to show you guys a few pics - just in the last few weeks - I have gotten some calcium build up and effervesce on my rocks. I haven't tried to remove it yet - it is just weird it showed up all of a sudden. My numbers for everything have been rock steady - Ill try to post later. I am thinking my CH is too high - it has been at 350 constantly - we have very hard water . . . But really I am just showing you some before - so I can show you some "afters" once I get to cleaning it.

IMG_3402.jpg Weeping wall - I think this is deposits

I took these when the pool needed some water added - when it is all the way up - it is hard to see these.

I say planter boxes to help with weed control and overgrowth as needed.

I would also get some LARGE pots with color where the wall is lower to put pops of color.

I have missed you also!

You REALLY need to carve out an hour or so to read ummmmm's build. It is something else! Up and downs and all arounds.

Oh My on Bella! All of that training. Did it look like she might be heading to the ledge at all?

Kim

Holy cow, circling back and saw the video of Bella, I am so glad you helped that cutie pie!!!

That aside, I may have to stop visiting this site when all of the Texans start opening their pools. Grrr....

We really didn't close the pool. There were a few nights the hot tub was sooo hot, we thought we could swim. We were wrong. One dip is all it took. The pool is about 65 right now. Can't wait for it to warm up!!

I logged out and read about 10 pages. Just in shock poor guy!!! But wowzers is it nice!!!!

Bella was at the opposite end and I'm pretty sure that's where she fell in at. She chases squirrels and she rounds that corner at 100 mph. I'm not sure how long she was in there but she can swim like a fish and she was barely treading water. Her little head kept bobbing up and down.

As hard as it was, instead of scooping her out I went down to the end where the doggie entry is and Eddie pushed her off from the edge and we called her and made her make her way down to the end on her own.

Pretty sure it hurt me to do it more than it did her. :(
