Hey Everyone,

Building a pool out here in muggy Louisiana as it’s just too hot here not to have a pool. We started looking in July and settled on an independent builder and pulled the trigger mid November on our build. We decided on a pool/spa with the following specs:

Pool and Spa
Aprox 520 Sq ft surface area
Aprox 100 Linear feet perimeter for pool
7’ ft diameter spa raised 1 foot with spillover
Depth 3.5 ft down to 7 ft
#3 rebar on 8 inch centers
#4 rebar on beam
Shotcrete construction
Tanning ledge with umbrella holder and two bubblers
Quartz plaster
Glass mosaic waterline tile
Flagstone Coping
Waterfall feature
915 sq ft of concrete decking with deck drains

Pump and Equipment
Pentair VSF pump
Pentair Challenger Pump 1HP to run waterfall and bubblers.
Pentair 400K BTU Gas Heater
Pentair EasyTouch 8 with ScreenLogic
Pentair Cartridge Filter
In-line chlorinator
Sch. 40 plumbing
2 surface skimmers plummed independently to pad
4 wall returns
2 LED lights in pool, 1 in spa3A2EB100-97B3-4FB8-8290-AED896A478E3.jpeg7FF7A568-1B08-4E84-BE42-9DE5437654B4.jpeg

Looks great.

As you are getting an Easytouch, get one with the SWCG system. Your inline chlorinator will have limited use and you will be adding liquid chlorine daily for your sanitation needs.

Thanks for the input. I am going to stick with chlorine for now and requested the builder leave enough plumbing in place to add one later. Liquid chlorine is what I plan to use to keep the CYA levels in check.
