New-ish pool developing scaling

So living in Southern California my pools going on its 2nd year now and I'm starting to see scaling especially in the Jacuzzi and from what I've read here on the forums it sounds like it's directly proportional to high ph levels am I correct on that assumption? I'm noticing white flaking at the bottom of the Jacuzzi and the bench seats are becoming pretty rough I have had some ph level issues with the pool I believe it's because it's SWG. Im gonna try to stay more vigilant in keeping up with and with the acid more regularly but I'm just curious if this sounds like the source of my issues seeing what you guys think thanks.

Post a set of your tests and use PoolMath to determine your CSI.

You need to manage CSI - Pool School - Calcium Saturation Index (CSI))

The SWCG by itself does not effect the water chemistry from a scaling standpoint. You do need to manage pH and TA with your corresponding CH to stay in the proper range of CSI.

To keep your SWCG free from scale, manage your CSI between -0.3 and 0.0.
