New Install -- FC at 8

I have just started my SWG this last weekend at 25% for my circupool edge 40 for a 23k pool and with CYA-70 I'm still at FC-8.5 as of last night. This is in TX heat. Pump is currently running 24/7 @ 1800 rpm. Lower RPM and I loose the spa spill over. As TP once sang- I won't back down.

I run mine around 1800 RPM and have my Edge at 3 or 8 bars and also staying around 8 :) I have around 28K

I kicked mine down to 1800 last night and the spa trickled over. I'll work with it this weekend and dial it in so it spills over at the lowest speed. I need to filter the spa water or make it a koi pond. :) Initially, I was going to install valve automation for this, with the SWG. When I bought the dolphin and Circupool, the only thing I would "need" it for is the spa.

I changed mine so I am pulling 90% through skimmers and the rest using the main drain but returning all water to the Spa.
If I add salt I turn everything thing on and kick the RPM's up for a few hours

Being new to the SWG I really haven't done much to perfect the spa situation. I haven't even checked it FC level independently. I assume it's going to be higher then the 8ppm that the main pool has but my main focus was getting the main pool setup to my ideal settings. I did get the CYA to 80 and the FC is holding strong at 8ppm so the next step is making sure the spa is running a good FC number.

If I built a new pool I would for sure have the SWG isolated on the pool return and not before the pool/spa valve. My valve now is really low to the ground now so it would take a major replumbing job to get it right. If I can't get the spa's numbers to cooperate then that will be the next step.

Does yours spill over in to the pool? That is my concern with the pump speed. I reduced to 2500 ish for about 8 hours. Then it goes down to 800rpm. This gives plenty of time to move the water from the spa to the pool, mix and return back to both.

FC is at 13.5 now. Zoiks! going to back it down to 40% and monitor.
The usual battle a lot of us with SWGs have is too much FC as opposed to the liquid chlorine battle of not enough FC.

Both ways end in a SLAM.

You, however can stop your SLAM whenever you feel like.
:)
