New IG build League City, TX

This is what it looked like before they buried it.
Hope this helps.

Oh cool..... Is that your solution to a backwash line going into the drain clean-out I'm assuming?
If so, ya gotta love it!!! No more winding and unwinding a backwash hose....
If so, NICE! :goodjob:
r.

Thank you. The overflow comes through the line not connected in the picture?

What was the logic for not connecting it completely?
I would want a closed connection, or just a cap on the entry to that pea trap... frogs ya know...

There is a valve I have to switch to drain the pool. I don’t know why it’s not connected but I guess it may be so nothing backs into the pool????? It’s been about 6-months but I have only had to save one frog from there and it was today! They seem to avoid it. Now the pool is a whole different story. They love jumping in there. Thankfully, I’ve got a frog log for that.

Oh yeah, that kind of backup would be serious. ?
Mine will be for backwash, but definitely something to consider!

My pool's close to 2 months. Just one frog so far. We were in and rescued him... I need to look into one of those if it becomes a habit though.

We didn’t have any till spring started. That’s when I saw them the most. One morning I awoke to see about 7 or 8 baby frogs drowned in my skimmer so I got on Amazon and bought a frog log. Haven’t seen a dead frog since then, thankfully.

To those that followed my build, you know we lost our lab, Crash, to cancer soon after the pool was completed. It’s been a little over a year. My wife missed him so much. So, our anniversary was last month and I decided to get her this fellow:

His name as Teddy......as in Roosevelt. He’s been on the tanning ledge briefly. I assume the water was too cold as he quickly got out. I’m sure once it’s warm and everyone is in that he will follow.

He’s a great dog! He’s a sweet boy that lets you know he enjoys being spoiled. We got him potty trained in two weeks. Way easier than potty training a child for sure. Can’t wait to see him enjoying the pool with the family. Guess I’ll be cleaning those filters a little more often.

TWO weeks??? SWEET! Now don't forget that when he gets to be a "teenager" (18 months or so) he might "lose his mind" and not remember anything you taught him LOL VERY normal and when a lot of dogs are turned into shelters BUT give him time and stay the course. He will turn out to the best dog ever!

@Jbrillo hair nets in the skimmer basket look on Amazon. They are CHEAP............100 for under $20 bucks (may be even lower than that!
