Hi, I just installed a Calimar salt water chlorinator in my pool in North West Florida and man I wish I had done that sooner... It's been about a month and my pool has never been that nice for so long with so little, easy work. And no need to go buy and carry chlorine! My pool is 20x40 gunite (quite damaged due to previous difficulties maintaining proper chlorine levels, which resulted in a pool never quite balanced, low pH and gunite damage). I was reluctant to have the pool refinished until I knew how to maintain it. I think the SWG will do the job.
I installed a 60,000 gallons rated salt system and it's running at 30% and maintains 4ppm chlorine in spite of the 90 degrees water temperature (and it's June...) So far, the ratio of pool enjoyment/pool work is excellent!

Welcome to the "pry the SWCG out of my cold, dead hands" club!

How are you testing? Test Kits Compared
FC 4 might actually be too low. FC/CYA Levels
:)
I have a simple kit for chlorine and pH. I also bought an electronic tester "7 in 1" but chlorine readings appear unreliable so I do not trust it. For now, I primarily take a water sample to the local Pinch a Penny every week and mostly follow their recommendations.
