Hi All,

Getting close to signing with a PB for our new pool. We are first time pool owners/builders. It's an in-ground SWG pool, 27.5 x 14.5. See attached design.

Equipment/Specs:
  • Pentair Superflo 2 Speed Pump
  • Clean and Clear 200 Filter
  • Pentair Automation - asking for Intellitouch, currently quoted EasyTouch
  • PENTAIR MASTERTEMP 400000 BTU NAT.GAS
  • FLORIDA STUCCO POOL PLASTER - CAPRI
  • Sand Blasted Marble Pavers for Decking
  • Spa
  • Sunshelf with multi color LED bubbler and umbrella sleeve
  • 2 Multi Color Globrite
Quote is at 76K.

Some questions for you all:
  • General thoughts on the design/layout?
  • This PB uses all Pentair. We have another, more expensive quote, from a PB that uses all Jandy. Anything to consider there?
  • Wife wants a pool color that is deep blue. Anyone recommend a color/finish for that?

Thanks,
J

Here is a thread for plaster color: Pool Finish and Color Viewing Room...TFP Member Sound Off

You might want to think about the 3' depth. That is not deep enough to do a good crawl stroke. You will scrape your knuckles. I would go at least 3'5" if not 4'. That will also lessen the slope to 5'.

Now lets talk about the 5'. I am 5'5" and would not be able to stand in a 5' depth. 5' is not deep enough to jump into really but too deep to stand in comfortably.
