I have a hearing south of Houston Monday in Wharton, Texas at 1:30 p.m. I expect it will last the rest of the day. I will waive your direction as I am traveling through.
The guy who does our A/V recommended this approach to us vs. the big $ for a weatherproof outdoor TV. He does the same thing and currently has a 5-year old LCD TV hung on his patio wall and it still works. Ours is mounted on the wall in the middle of our patio and under the patio covering. Although it does not get direct exposure to sun or rain, we did get a breathable cover that is made for outdoor TVs mainly to deal with fog/moisture.cbink said:I actually have my wife on side with the outdoor TV - we're thinking 55" LED though I may push it to 60" depending on what I can get at what price. It's in a covered patio but may got some rain if the wind is blowing the rain horizontally so don't want to be dropping thousands on it, just in case it does get ruined. I'm hoping a cover (and then eventually I will build a cabinet around it) will stop that from happening . I'm banking on getting 2 years out of it. If I get that, I'll be happy and it's worthwhile not having bought an outdoor TV.

That's quite a drive isn't it for a Monday morning (if you're driving that is)?!
