Need to replace winch and cable on 24' AG round

The cable has striped and the winch is clumsy. Is there a brand that you've had good success with?

I have no actual idea what a pool winch is, but if it's a wire and a gear regulated winch, check out boat winches. They're super cheap.

Sorry to those who know more than I about this question. Seems the OP has a wire and gear related issue. A small boat winch is like, $20.

The winch and cable is used to secure a winter cover on an above ground pool.

I don’t know of a better solution. The parts are relatively cheap if you want to replace them.

The winches are complete junk. I've had to buy a new one almost every year..

They are the same as for a clothesline. Can get them at your local hardware store.
