Need to replace Pentair pool light which has 5.75" dia face plate but the closest size I find online is 6" so I am concerned that the retaining screw and bottom lug will line up with existing fitting as I think replacing the can would be a real pain which would necessitate drilling or cutting into the gunite.
Reason I want to replace it is because it keeps tripping the gfci even though light is dry inside. If I bypass the gfci then light will stay on. I have replaced the gfci but problem remains. Tried to get an electrtician to look at it but after 2 months and broken appointments and phone calls to other electricians in area never returned I have concluded that replacing the light is the only way to go as a do it yourself project as I am somewhat electrically challenged.
