Need Ideas for Pool Deck Renovation

I have an approximately 600 sqft concrete pool deck area. When I bought the house it was covered by rug material best described as "astroturf." This created wetness retention issues plus mold/mildew in certain shaded areas. It was removed and I replaced it with a spray on mortar/cement and stencil/pattern type product. This created a hard surface that looked like tile and grout but was about 1/8th inch thick. It looked great for about ten years but cracks developed, water got underneath and this surface has been flaking off in a number of areas for several years. My question is: what ideas do you have to cover this area with a minimum of removal of the old surface. My top choice so far is interlocking rubber/plastic tiles about 1/2 inch thick from a supplier called Greatmats. Has anybody used these? Other ideas?

The thing about anything you put on it is the fact it can hold water under it. You know the problems with that..........ewwwwww. Show us a picture of what you are dealing with and someone may have an idea.
