We have a fresh water pool and the skimmer basket closer to the filter was full. Some pool technicians came by identify and cleared the basket. Since the oxidising plate was covered with calcium buildup, they left the plate in diluted HCL solution and closed this valve. They asked me to open the valve when we put the plates back in.
This is the valve and the technician asked me to turn this to the right. The valve lifts up but does not move to the left or right. Did I misunderstand the technician's advice? Should I be doing something else? Any help would really be appreciated. I don't want to spend $100 to get a technician to just turn the valve at the same time I don't want to break it as well.
