Hi, please help… I had to replace the toggle switch on this Hayward super pump Which is two speed… I’m having trouble remembering where the wires go. There is a plastic cover designating where it goes. However, when I turned it on, and had the switch turned a certain way, I saw sparks come from the center portion where the blue and red connections are… And immediately the breaker tripped … I’d like to ask someone for help before I try this again I will send you pictures as I can to show my set up, thank you so much. This is the current way. I was thinking of hooking it up. Please let me know if you have any information and I don’t want to touch anything until I hear back again thank you so much for your time.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

While waiting for James to arrive, don't let the pool sit idle for too long without chlorine. If needed, add a little liquid chlorine to the water and brush it around really well. The last thing you need after this is algae,

Actually, this in ground fiberglass pool has been sitting for the past season and a half… believe it or not the water is really clear… I do have a slick film of Algae on the top of the water but as soon as I can get this pump on, I was gonna backwash a good bit and then put a good amount of chlorine in…. Unless u think I should do something different… ?!🤔👍💚🤔💚🤔😀

Purple and Yellow wires ON SWITCH are reversed. Centrifugal switch on motor is damaged, blue button is bent.

It looks like a white and black wire come from the timer.

One hot wire goes to the Common and the other hot wire goes to the center post of the toggle switch.

The outer posts of the toggle switch go to the High and Low terminals.

It looks like the black wire from the timer goes to common.

It looks like the white wire from the timer is connected to the High Speed terminal.

The black wire from under the capacitor makes no sense as to where it comes from.

The centrifugal switch is broken and would need to be replaced.

Unless you know exactly what you're doing, you're not going to get this running.

Maybe you could take it to a repair shop for an evaluation.

I would not put a lot of time and money into this pump.

Cut your losses and get a variable speed pump.

Verify the voltage being supplied.
