I have one of these it’s supposed to reduce CL usage by 50%. Is spending $100 on a new cartrage worth it. Do they really work??

We do not recommend mineral systems of any kind... They are mainly a magic device that transfers money from your pocket into your pool builder's pocket.

I can't see any value in even trying to reduce your chlorine level??? What are the advantages of doing that?
