Afternoon everybody!! I dropped about 2 FC today while I was at work. Not bad! That was about 8hrs. Still some stuff on the bottom but I'm vacuuming it out when I can see it. Stirs it up a bit but I just wait until it falls to the bottom and vacuum again.
My CC is probably between .5 and 1. That second drop clears it up instantly. Haven't tested anything else.

I should hope we can get you clearer that than! That is so hazy, cloudy it is not even funny!

Wait until you see what it looks like when we are done with it!

You really will be able to see the heads/tails of a quarter!

I'm so excited for you! Wait until you see how clear it gets. There's nothing like that TFP sparkle! You'll come down with sparklypoolitis before long.

Thanks for the invite! That's right around my anniversary. We are *supposed* to be going out of town but I have been procrastinating when it comes to making plans and reservations.

I'll settle for pictures though! I share all these pics with my family too. (whether they want to see them or not)
I love coming back a few weeks later and saying.. "hey, remember that pool I showed you a while back? Look at it now!"

You're almost there! The best part now is that the DE filter which was your nemesis at the beginning will be your best friend for the final filtration. Faster than sand filters that take their time. Yours will be sparkling soon! Keep vacuuming! (and brushing) That filter is doing it's job!! :)

That blackness is leaves that are piled up in the bottom of the deep end. Had to work on my cousins AC so I didn't get to do much of getting it out. Just keeping FC up and filtering. Which a dose of DE (7.5 lbs) last me more than one day now. That's cool!!
Still lots of work to do in this backyard and pool but it's getting there. :)

BTW I wired up the light for the pool today with a new weatherproof switch and cover because the old one was shot. When I turn it on it trips the breaker. No doubt the seal has failed and there is water in there. That should be fun.

Just for a look at the whole backyard. It used to be really nice with a hot tub and a big nice deck but by the time we bought it all of that stuff was old and broken just like the pool.

Here are a few pictures of what we have done so far. Where the big open spot is where the hot tub used to be is going to be a fire pit with a bench and some gravel around it. Its going to be a nice little sitting area. It has been tons and tons of work but I am getting more and more excited as the pool gets cleaned up and the weather is getting more and more nice.
Definitely looking forward to the summer and some BBQ's!!!

Here we go with another random cold rainy Thursday! Sorry about that. It's because it's the start of my weekend. (I'm doomed.)
I work Mon-Wed (Great schedule!) but that means everyone else in the Hampton Roads area has to deal with yucky weather on Thursday! lol

Good day for SLAMming though! No high temps and sun to burn up chlorine so it can all work on the pool while you're filtering out the dead stuff. ;-)

Good day for shopping too! ;-) That's just what I'm going to do!
