My pool/ leave ionizer inline?

As mentioned I have an ionizer, if I want to use BBB method can I leave the device on as normal? It is attached to filter before return jet. Should I just put level to zero, is the only downside to leaving it on the possibility of copper staining?

If I want to remove (perhaps at end of season, can I just take it off when winterizing, and not reattach when the pool is opened?

The copper will eventually stain your pool. Also blonde hair will turn green.

Otherwise it does not change the level of FC needed or any other parameter.
