My Intellichem Controller is driving me crazy. Never has worked as well as it should since installed in 2022

Pool is indoor and heated year round.
Problem of the day is no flow detected.. Pump is running. Water is moving through the line where the sensor is.

What is the best course of action for next steps? Installer has gone through ownership change, so all problems are from the other guy.

Later on Intellichem problems.. I can never get the ORP/Chlorine settings right. If we stay in the recommended ORP range, My Chlorine struggles to get to 1 PPM. We have to constantly augment the liquid feed to get where we want. We do have supplemental UV system to help with sanitation and to kill the baddies.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to TFP.

Have you checked the magnet that operates the flow switch or replaced the flow switch assembly?

The best thing you can do is disassociate the IntelliChlor from the Intellichem and run the SWG without ORP control. ORP control rarely works well and we do not recommend it.

Note that your UV system is consuming the chlorine your SWG is generating and they are working at cross purposes. Chlorine is all you need to kill the baddies.

It turns out the problem was the water inlet line. It was partially impeded which slowed the flow. Seems we are back in business.

I am also going to test the chlorine/ORP with the UV off to see if that is what making the difference.

Thanks for the guidance.
