Hi, received my new TFPro Salt test kit today and took my first readings. Thoughts?
PH 7.5
Salt 2800ppm
FC 11.5
CC .5
TC 12
CH 350ppm
TA 80
CYA 50

What salt range does your SWG require? Season is getting ready to kick off down there so we suggest your cya be in 70 to 80 range. Why is your FC 11.5? You' be fine dialing in the SWG to maintain 6 or 6 easy.

Not sure, I’m not the original owner of this pool. I wasn’t running the pump long enough until recently and increased it by 3 hours. That’s the only reason I can figure why it’s high. I’ll have to turn the ic-40 down.

Pentair recs 3600 for salt but I personally like 3200. We start tasting it over that, not much and certainly nothing like the ocean, but just a hint. So I shoot for 3200 and the unit is happy as rain dilutes me down to 2800. Once it complains, I add some salt.

You hit the jackpot for inherited pool #s. (y) I inherited a CYA well into the 300s.

Also, ignore TC. It could be 10+2 or 6+6 or 1+11. The sum is irrelevant but the components are everything. (Pretty sure you can't have 11 CCs, just used it as an example :)).

*edit and PLEASE excuse my terrible manners. Welcome to TFP !!!

*edit edit because I already welcomed you *and* told you that TC was of no concern. It's OK. Both points still stand valid today. :ROFLMAO:
