My Dog Ate My Thermometer 🤦‍♀️

Again!!
I can’t seem to keep thermometers in my pool. I’ve had two floating ones. My dogs snagged both and destroyed them.

Then I decided to just hang a small wall thermometer from a ribbon on a Command hook from the tile on the side of the pool. Was pretty proud of myself for coming up with that solution...it lasted for about 4 days.

Anyone have ideas for dog-proof thermometer placement? I’ve seen where some put them in the skimmer basket.I suppose that would work.

I hang mine from under the skimmer lid inside the skimmer where it's out of reach.

I dont have a floaty thermometer... I get the temp from my SWG. What if you made if look like something they dont like... like a bath.

LOL....I’m afraid “water “ is their middle name. But that’s a very good idea!

Cool! That’s what I’ll do. I wasn’t sure how accurate the temp would be from the skimmer. Is yours a floating thermometer on a string?

I guess it floats, but I never checked. I've always had it on a line attached to the skimmer lid.
