I think there are regional differences in product offerings. In my area, HD sells 31.45% MA. In Nevada, I could only find half strength MA. It appears that Ace sells full strength MA nationwide.
Check in the concrete section or the paint section. Sometimes they put the full strength stuff there as contractors are the ones that most use it for concrete etching and surface prep. They keep the lower strength stuff, same price as full strength, in the garden section for pool owners. It’s a great way to make extra revenue - charge the same as full strength for only half the product and sell more product in the meantime… win-win … for them.

I believe Home Depot might have removed it from their stores because it may not be a big seller and they got stuck with old inventory. A couple years ago, I used to by my MA from there and their 31% was nasty looking. The cardboard boxes were brittle and the bottles themselves were bubbling. They had the SAME lot number for 3 pool seasons, and I used to get a store manager and show them the condition of the product and ask for a 50% discount. They would usually offer it at that half price, but after the second season of the same lot number I got concerned of the plastic bottles holding up and now am getting it elsewhere.
