Muratic acid storage

Just curious where y’all store it. On the box it says cool, dark place, preferably not in the house or the garage, not next to chlorine, etc etc. I live in Texas. There is no such thing as a cool dark place that’s not hot

Storing Muriatic Acid​

• Store muriatic acid in a plastic storage unit outdoors, if you have kids, that is WELL VENTILATED
• Store muriatic acid outside in a shady area
• Never store muriatic acid near chlorine
• Keep the muriatic acid away from metal as it's fumes can cause rust. So a garage is not a good place to store muriatic acid.

I have a larger rubber maid container in corner of my yard behind bushes. I store my MA in that. It is ventilated i.e. there is no seal on the top or sides.

Thanks! I was going to buy one of the storage deck boxes for like $60. You just saved me probably like $50 lol

Mine sits on a little shelf on the patio in the shade year round as that is closest to my hot tub where it gets used the most. I used to keep it on top of my freezer under the carport but it rusted up the top pretty bad so when I painted the freezer I moved it.
My kids are older now & know not to touch it.
