Moving.. Going to do a DIY Build.

Get pics of every relevant sticker on the boxes. My pentair ones had manufacturer model#s and serial #s in one place. The pump for example, I'll know forever is a 011028 but darned if I'll ever know which skimmer it was when I need a basket or weir door.

Question..

I have IntelliFlow 011056 on order. Should I get the new 011076?

Not sure if the built in WiFi control these have is worth it but it looks like the flow is better with 2 1/2" piping, a new wet end pump and a larger strainer basket.

Thoughts?

Get whichever pump is available. You will not be able to tell the difference in specs.

So there's only two relays?

If I have two pumps will they work together yeilding four relays?

How many do I need?

Lights
Spa Booster
Valve Actuators (2?)
Heater

Guess that's that?

If I need 2 for the Valve Actuators for switching to and from spa mode there's not enough but can both Valve Actuators work off one relay since they act together?

It looks like this pump is very recently released and maybe there isn’t a whole lot in the wild that are hooked up where people have real life experience with them.

One relay is 5 amps for a light or SWG. The other is 16 amps for a pump.

No actuator control. No pool/spa switching.

No heater controls.

First excavation bid came in at $10,000 which includes taking out and hauling away 6,000 sf of grass front and back as well as an existing 2 foot wall in the backyard then digging the pool and spreading the spoils on the front yard.

That seemed a bit outrageous to me so I had another guy come today to get another bid.

Once you start the subs are more than happy to share names!

OB is the way to go for sure IMHO..

I had to micro manage the snot out of mine anyway. I am no master plumber or electrician but I would have done better than either who came. I spent so much time on the phone guiding the PBs staff on to the next stage that I might have as well been calling the sub crews myself. It would have been far easier to deal with them directly instead of through 2 or 3 people at PBs office. I even found my own equipment when PB couldn't get it.

The premiere PB in town sent a knucklehead earlier this week whom I had to tell at least 4 times what we were building. Start time? 90 days. Completion? 120 days after that.

For this they want north of $100k for what I will do for around $80k.

I might need to find some 011056 IntelliFlow VSF Pumps. Where did you get yours?

I know TFP is all about testing with the TF100 or equivalent but what are your thoughts on the IntelliChem controller?
PH and Orp probe controllers are only as good as the accuracy of your testing and the test kit you use and calibrate them to. They will require cleaning and somewhat different (lower) levels of CYA to keep from fouling or interference. They are not a substitute for accurate water testing, analyzing the results and adjusting them to do what you want. I have no opinion on them because I‘ve used similar setups commercially, but I think I’ve read info here that people are generally not in favor of them. (I could have dreamt that too lol 😂)

Hardly seems worth it. On my previous pool I tested every other day in the summer and once a week in the winter religiously and if I was going to be on vacation in the summer I would dose the pool with extra chlorine before I left
