New owner of a Century V-Green 165 ECM16SQU variable speed motor as a result of this repair experiment. Noticed that the spec sheet for the new motor lists a compatible voltage range of 208V-230V, but when I measure the breaker panel voltage across the poles the meter reads ~250V rms. I have a 240V a/c unit that has been connected for years without letting out any magic smoke. Is there anything to be concerned about before wiring up the motor?
