I have a 48,000 gallon plaster pool in full sun. Pool has 2x the filtration needed and we keep Polaris and baskets empty every day to keep as much biological material out of pool as possible.
Have been running 3-4 ppm liquid with 40 CYA for a year (since pool was redone) with no algae yet. The pool has a rolachem auto doser so the chlorine is maintained and does not vary by much.
Risks of staying at the minimum recommended FC level? Since it’s such a large pool the chlorine can get very expensive but also don’t want to create a problem that will cause a need to SLAM.
Thank you!
Central Texas. In ground 48,000 gallons. New plaster July 2021, Finest Finish Micro Fusion French Gray. (2) Pentair Intelliflo 011056, (2) Triton TR 100-C Commercial Sand Filters (glass media), (2) Waterco Multi Cyclone 50 Pre-Filters, 15 Gallon Rola-Chem liquid chlorine feeder, Polaris 280, Pentair Warrior SE
