I have what I think are metal stains after using a stainless steel brush to remove black algae. If I add metal sequestrat, will it also remove borates in pool?

And sequestrant will hold metals in solution but not lift stains that have deposited on pool surfaces.

Have you rubbed a paste of Vitamin C in a sock on the stains and see if they lift?
