Menu on left keep appearing

I just got a new iPad and now the menu on the left keeps appearing. If I hit the hamburger it disappears until I look at another post and it comes right back. How do I hide it?

The software displays certain items based on your screen's size. Most iPads, when viewed in landscape mode, default to the desktop layout, which includes displaying a full-time sidebar. Unfortunately, there's no way to permanently hide the sidebar on this layout.

However, you might find it helpful to use your iPad in portrait mode or resize the window to something smaller to get a different layout experience.

Weird, my old iPad Pro M1 model did not do this. The new one M4 does. Both have the same screen size. I use both in landscape mode with a Magic Keyboard.

Admittedly, I am not a power desktop or tablet user, so it’s very possible that a setting has changed or there’s a specific configuration affecting the display. Let me look into this further, and I’ll get back to you with more information.
