I've always use a rotary laser in the early evening so I can easily see the line and use that to mark the cut for the tile

Totally makes sense, it is about the only way to do it right.

That totally makes sense. Last time I did in complete darkness, it was a bit challenging. I think what might end up happening is I will have to cut a bit more of the pebbletec on 1/2 of the pool where it is only cut to about 3.5". I will see once I laser it
