Mastertemp 400 bad temp sensors?

I have a master temp 400 that has no power due to the easy touch control system not giving it power. (Fireman switch) I figured that much out so far. Both temperature sensors for my pool and spa are reading 188° in the middle of winter. Could they both have gone bad at the same time? Should I replace them or is there something else that I'm missing? Would the high temperature be what's preventing the heater from being turned on?

Connect a 10K resistor in place of the water sensor. If it reads the temperature as 76F then its the sensor if not then its the board.

You can test the temperature sensors using a multimeter and see what resistance it is reporting to the board.

Check the wires on the temperature sensors as 188 is a low resistance and could indicate damaged and shorted wires.

Note that the temp is labeled as resistance in kiloohms in this interactive graph.

The top number is resistance in kiloohms and the bottom number is the temp in degrees F.

Below shows 10.5 k ohm at 75 F.

Need to get Claude to fix.
