Hi all! I’m curious how high above the water line a margarita table should be? I’m worried about some splashing causing my precious beverages to spill. Thank you!!

The top of our table is 3" above the coping and 7.5" above the water.

Wow that’s helpful to know what you have. What do you think of that height? I’m 6’4”/wife is 5”. Any issues with a Polaris wrapping around it? It’s a permanent table right? I’m debating a removable table based on PBs most recent complaints.

LOL. This is the best post I've seen, so far. Thank you for the laugh! (when I swim, I have to take my drinks in my camelback cup). It floats, no spillage but, not exactly tiki-quality stuff.

This makes way more sense. 3" below coping, as OP's PB suggested, would essentially be the waterline, and the top of the table would be barely sticking out of the water, if at all.

It works well for us. I'm 6'4" as well. We have an in floor cleaning system (IFCS) so I'm not sure how a robot would work around the table. The IFCS keeps it spotless though! Sorry, had to throw that in there for all the folks here that h*te IFCS

Yes, our table is permanent. Overall, we really like the design. It adds a little character to an otherwise boring pool design.

Interesting. Thank you so much for the reply. Yes, we thought it would add character as well. I'm curious if anyone has ANY info on whether this will be a nightmare with a polaris though....

As I said, I have no experience with robots but I doubt if it would work well trying to maneuver up around the seating area and table post. It seems to me like the power cord would get tangled up.

yeah that’s a concern for sure. I wonder if I could put a guard around the table and just not have it clean there.

Calling in someone I know who has one.

@bertschb - How far below your coping is your in pool table?

I'm not going to be adding much to the conversation, but I just want to let everyone know that I read this as asking how far below his coping the billiards table in his pool was, which made me start thinking about how that would work in a pool.

It may be the lack of sleep (6th grade daughter needed help on a science project that took until midnight last night).

That would be epic!

Oh wow. I screwed up. I should've done a ping pong and pool table in the pool. Contacting PB now... :)
