Supposedly our motor for our auto cover is what went bad. We spent 2 grand on repairs last year and are now saying another 2 to replace the motor. We are building a poll fence is it possible to manually close and open the auto cover just for winter purposes?

I read about someone doing that. Look at the other end (not the motor end) and see if there is anyplace you can get a wrench on the reel to turn it. They used a big socket wrench and a cheater bar.

Ours is a Coverstar and I was opening it. But also look at your cover’s instructions. It should discuss it. I’m sure you can find them online if you don’t have them.
