We have to replace the spider valve (yet again), but when we pulled it off, the manifold pipe came up with it. How can we reseat the manifold back into the sand??

You might be able to push it back into the lateral assembly, but more likely sand has fallen in and you'll have to remove all the sand first.
Yes, that's what we're trying to avoid if possible! Figured I'd check to see if someone had a creative way without emptying it!
Use a shop vac to suck all the sand out. Way easier that way.
