Major CYA loss

So it’s been 5 days since I last reported about my algae coming back. Checked pool today and it’s getting worse. Last time I scrubbed pool was 4 days ago. I did turn my swg up a bit after heavy use over the past 3 weeks but this algae seems to still come back and grow considerably. Cya still holding. I do have one of my 3 skimmers closed still as I do believe it is causing a major leak which is getting a leak test in a few weeks. Maybe I should open that skimmer up snd slam again but I passed an oclt last time and pool looked great.

You obviously should SLAM again and look for any places algae might be hiding. I kept my numbers in range same as you and would get a random algae spot every now and then. I was running my VSP pump 24 hours a day and my salt water generator during daylight hours. Someone here suggested that I simply run my salt cell 24 hours a day dialed down so I still hit my target FC. That seemed to work for me. My water chemistry didn’t really change at all, I was just adding the same amount of chlorine, but spaced out over a 24 hour period.

Thanks guys, I did start the slam process again this evening. Will report back. SWG was defiintely too high after no usage over the past 5 days or so. Will adjust
