Maintenance Routine for Hot Tub Filters

Curious how you all maintain your filter system on your tub. I hear a lot of conflicting ways to do it such as dishwashers and filter cleaning chemicals etc.....

What type of filter maintenance scehdule do you run?
How often do you clean it and what do you use to clean it?
How often do you replace it?
If you don't have a circulation pump how many hours do you set your filtration to run per day total?
(I currently have mine set to run 6 hours at a time twice per day and I'm not sure if that to much)

I always have at least two filters, one in the unit and a clean one sitting in the shed.
To clean a cartridge filter I use a high pressure hose then soak it overnight in a bucket with a strong chlorine/water solution. If I am purging my spa with ahhsome I will also soak the filters.
I give it a final rinse then let it dry fully and wrap it in plastic for the next change.
I change out my filter after 30 days or so.
My cleaning cycle runs for 3 hours and also runs whenever the heater kicks on.
