Maintaining pool with MINIMAL chlorine due to the shortage!

Hi all, so I have about enough chlorine to get me through about half the season or less, and I really don't want to switch to a completely new method. Due to the shortage I don't know if I'll be able to get more chlorine. So I'm looking for any ideas on ways to supplement the chlorine I have, to get through the season. Is algaecide useful to help keep water clear or really completely different than what chlorine does? Is bleach bad to use? Any other suggestions? May be able to get some liquid chlorine but that seems to just be like expensive bleach.

Anyway sorry for the dopey questions but thanks in advance!!!

bleach is liquid chlorine and liquid chlorine is bleach.. the name depends on the strength... mostly below 8% is bleach and above is liquid chlorine

you can use both with no issue...

Thank you! I guess I just have to compare bleach vs liquid chlorine to see which is more economical!!

Just make sure to select plain bleach. Stay away from scented varieties, splashless formulas, and terms like Cloromax Technology.
