Main Drain Fix - Upwards angle?

Hi everyone

I had a break on one of my main return PVC pipes (2") when I was digging, it's unfortunately clustered next to more return pipes and is in a very tight spot. When fixing it, I introduced a slight upwards angle. The pipe is ~ 2" taller then the previous high spot. Maybe a simple question, but I wanted to see if this is going to cause issues for the pool pump? I have the pool half-way drained at the moment (had to to get the water out of the pipes)

If as you state it is the main drain, it is of no concern. A main drain is completely unnecessary.

I'm not 100% sure but it's either the main drain, it could in theory be the skimmer line aswell, it's hard to identify. But it's absolutely a line coming from the pool to the pump. I couldn't get the water out of the pipes until I drained the pool. Not following why is the main drain unnecessary?

The skimmer(s) are what pull surface debris into the suction and feed the pump its water. The main drain is unnecessary as long as the skimmer(s) are functional.

Since most residential pools with a single line going to the pump have the main drain plumbed into the skimmer, it likely is the skimmer. But that work underground will have minimal affect on the flow, especially if you have a VSP.
The main drain is a circulation aid, seldom does much debris get pulled in through it, especially if there is no dedicated line and valve to control the flow. If you have any kind of pool cleaner, those do much the same thing.
The vast majority of residential pools I have worked with have non-functioning main drains (clogged, no float valve in the skimmer, etc.) with no issue with water quality.
