Low water return flow

You might be able to reverse the water flow to see what you can get out.

Does the pump run full flow with the chlorinator disconnected?

Can you show the returns?

Are there fittings in the returns?

If yes, remove them to see if that helps.

Yes there are eye fittings in the returns as there has always been from years past. The pump pot fills and yes full flow when i disconnected the left side of the chlorinator. The pool is green, but ill try to take a picture.

Remove the return fittings and maybe something will come out.
Ill remove the fittings now. How would i reverse the water flow? Sorry difficult to see the returns from ugly water.

Maybe a piece from inside the heater came loose and went into the return line?

Can you remove these unions and show a picture looking into the inlet and outlet?

You can run a temporary line from the filter to the pool until the line gets unclogged.

Thats possible something from heater made its way into the return. I disconnected the heater due to last year startup it was pouring out water from something broken inside. The heater was due to go as it was very old.

If the part is not in the heater, it is probably what is clogging the line.
