Low calcium caused plaster dust?

My plaster is over a year old. I accidentally left the water running and refilled the entire pool. It’s small 10x18, so it’s easily done. Anyway fast forward to brushing the pool and seeing plaster dust, ph keeps going up a lot. Water test showed calcium was low. I fixed that, retested, all good. I can’t get all the plaster dust out. I don’t know if it’s remnants or it’s still etching or something. I’m out of ideas but also real nervous something bad is happening to my plaster and I don’t know what that is. Is the dust ruining my equipment? We cleaned the filter today. I’m trying to vaccum it but it’s not catching it well.

Welcome to TFP.

How do you know what you are seeing is plaster dust.

What model filter do you have?

How do you maintain your water chemistry?

Post your chemistry from your own test kit in the format:

FC
CC
pH
TA
CH
CYA
WATER TEMPERATURE

When I pour vinegar on it it bubbles so I’m assuming plaster? Or is that just calcium?
I have pentair clean and clear cartridge filter. We cleaned those today.
I have a sutro but I also take my water to store sometimes, likely not enough.
Attached is today’s numbers.

It just shows it is calcium.

How do you chlorinate your pool?

We don't trust the accuracy of Pool Store tests or the Sutro.

We recommend you have your own reliable test kit to use when you have problems like this - Taylor K-2006C or TFT Test Kits

I doubt what you are seeing is plaster dust.

You can use PoolMath with reliable test results, which is not Pool store testing or Sutro, to calculate your CSI and confirm you are above the etching range of -0.6
