Looks like I have a leak from my Actuator

Was out doing my weekly maintenance this morning and noticed some leaking from under one of the actuators.

Any thoughts? I'm new at pool maintenance, but relatively handy. Is this something I could try and fix myself or should I contact a service company?

Kris,

Actuators do not have any water flowing through them... The valve below the actuator is leaking..

They make rebuild kits for specific valves.. You need to look at the valve and see which brand you have.

Something you can do yourself..

Thanks Jim - It's an OV3-2010 valve. Any suggestions on where to buy the rebuild kit?

Sometimes it is best to just buy the whole valve and pull out all of the parts because rebuild parts are usually more expensive than a new valve.

That’s probably what I’ll do.

Is it pretty straightforward to reattach the existing actuator?
