Looking for a B230se Upgrade

Hello,
well, my motor is only 1.5 years old but it is freezing down here and it's starting to make noise. I'll see when it warms up but is this normal.
Either way I would like to see if there is a way to upgrade the motor only to a variable speed. The casing is fine and obviously to save cost I hope just the motor can be upgraded. Is there a Pentair option that can tie into my system?

I have to assume you want to be able to control your pump using your EasyTouch system...

If that is true, then your only option is to upgrade to one of the IntelliFlo pumps, as they are the only VS pumps that the ET can control..

Cost wise, it does not make sense to me to try and just upgrade the motor because you still need the motor control system which costs about $600 plus the cost of the motor.

A new IntelliFlo costs $900 on line and will work flawlessly with your ET.
