Good afternoon everyone, I opened our pool last week and it was clear but some debris on the bottom. Wanted to let it run for a little before doing anything with it but put in 2 gallons of shock. Using my Pentair ScreenLogic app I was at 2,600 on salt so added two 80lb bags to it which brought it up to 3,200.
This is what I got on 5/22:
FC=read nothing
PH=8.0 1 drop brought it down to 7.4
TA=70ppm
CYA=30
I noticed the water getting cloudy yesterday so I put in two bags of shock. This morning it was looking better but still a little cloudy so I took a sample to Leslie's to see what they get and this was their reading:
FC=3.69
TC=3.83
pH=7.1
TA=86
CH=81
CYA=25
Iron=0.1
Copper=0
Phoshates=682
Salt=3578
So I just measured it when I got back and this is what I got:
FC=4 could not get a CC
pH=7.4
TA=80
CH=130
I also have a salt meter and pH meter and they read 3380 salt, and 7.58 pH.
I also have the little sticks and get this from that:
pH=6.8
CL=3
TA=80
Stabilizer=0
I ended up buying 50lbs of calcium increaser from them but what if anything should I do here beside raise CYA?
