Liquid Chlorine

So long as it’s all additive free, no scents or technologies or splash less, it’s all the same but at different strengths. The poolmath app has a bleach calculator to enter the strength and cost to compare the best deals you find.

Typically, HDX chlorinating liquid at Home Depot and Pool essentials liquid shock and Walmart and Lowe’s are good buys at 10%. The pool store may or may not have a good price for their 12%. Everywhere else is hit or miss.

Menards, pinch a penny, hardware store, ocean state job lot, etc.

No problem with them, other than the strength (which is on the bottles) liquid chlorine is all the same. My pool is almost exclusively maintained with Rural King liquid chlorine and it's as clear as ever. Rural King is also generally the best deal if you have one nearby, $10 for a case of 4 is a fantastic price only beaten when Menards does a 2-for-1 sale.
