My husband purchased the bleach this week and bought the usual 6% but he saw another that was a dollar less and also 6%. The cheaper one said it was for cleaning mold and mildew. Would there be a problem to start using that one to save $$$?

We have an 11800 gal. swcg vinyl pool and only use bleach when slamming.

Any additives? Does it say scented, splashless, outdoor use? Looking for polymers or surfactants.

As others have said just make sure it doesn't have anything other than sodium hypochlorite. Many add perfumes or polymers. Walmart Pool Essentials is a good buy that many people here use. A better deal if you can find it is 10-12% in refillable containers. This is sold in pool stores and HASA distributors but not all states and cities have these. If you SLAM seldom, Pool Essentials is probably your best bet because the refillable containers have gotten pricey.

Hope this helps.
