Link2O to Pentair Home (device already associated with existing user)

Hi everybody:) I moved into a new house several months go and inherited a new pool. It's all nice Pentair equipment which I'm familiar with, but an app I've never used called Link2O (ios). For any of you who've used it, you already know it's pretty horrible. There is now a new app (available for several months already) which will replace it, called Pentair Home. They both work with the IntelliConnect. I've tried to switch over to the new app about 40 times over the last few months but always get stuck at the same place, and Pentair doesn't seem to have a solution. Has anyone else run into this (see below) or something similar?

When I try to log in to the new app I get a message that says "*Existing User* It looks like your device is already associated with an existing Link2O account. Enter your Link2O credentials to transfer your IntelliConnect and profile to Pentair Home."

I've tried tracking down the previous homeowner and using their credentials, tried reinstalling both apps, tried resetting my account numerous times, and tried physically resetting the IntelliConnect. I feel like this is something that Pentair might have to fix on their end, like a registration database of some sort, but after multiple attempts, no one with Pentair can seem to figure it out.

*I haven't updated the pool info in my profile so that's all different

It is a Pentair problem. They have major problems with their cloud software.

For $400 you can replace the Intelliconnect with a new unregistered unit. Or maybe splurge on an IntelliCenter.

That might just have to happen. We'll be upgrading some other things, and I was happier with the ScreenLogic app.

So I'm having a similar issue with switching to the new "Pentair Home". Like a fool, i had to mess with something that was working fine, most of the time (Link 2.0). I installed the app as directed and followed the instructions exactly as directed. One of the first steps to transfer the old Link2.0 to Pentair Home says to shut down the breaker to the intelliconnect for 10-15 seconds to restart the upload. Now that I have done that and turned the breaker back on, there is no power to the intelliconnect (link light will not illuminate) emailed and called support and all they can say is that I must have done something out of order and the instructions on the app specifically say that equipment damage may occur and its not covered under warranty. Total Bull in my opinion and now I'm stuck having to pay someone to come out and figure out what's wrong and likely have to replace the whole unit. I wish I never installed the IntelliConnect last year.
