Liner color and temperature

So I'm searching for a new liner, looking at all the pretty patterns,
and it occurs to me a darker liner might help keep the pool warmer.

Does anyone see a downside to this?

The consensus at my house is that no one seems to care much
what pattern or color so I think this might be good.
Here in Oklahoma the weather turns on a dime and temperature variance
is pretty amazing sometimes.

Am I looking at this wrong some how? Opinions?

A darker liner will keep the pool slightly warmer. There is quite a bit of debate about how much warmer. I believe that it will only help a little, but still every little bit counts.

If you have lights in the pool they won't seem as bright with a dark liner.
